AMAZON to build distribution center in SLOVAKIA
U.S. internet company Amazon, plans to build its distribution center for western and central Europe around region of Malacky in SLOVAKIA.
City Zahorie has become a viable alternative to Amazon after deputies of the City Council in Brno (CZECH REPUBLIC), late last week didn’t ratify the conditions of future contract.
Meanwhile, Amazon’s former and still growing business – books – and especially its self-publishing platform Createspace can get a strategic advance for reaching easier Central European markets which can boost influx of a new customers.
Delivery fees – generally higher than the price of books – were demotivating factors for customers from countries distant from the UK, where Amazon already has a distribution center.
